ProspHER Spark is a 12 week programme to equip women at disruptive life stages (divorce, separation, single parenting, bereavement, redundancy) with financial skills, confidence, and support to regain control of their money, reduce stress, and gain independence.
These are moments when many women suddenly must manage money alone, leaving them vulnerable to poverty, debt, stress, ill health and isolation:
Financial abuse/control leaves many women ill-equipped to manage after separation and financial abuse disproportionately affects women (Norfolk Safeguarding Adults Board).
23% of children live in single parent households, with 9/10 of these headed by women (Women’s Budget Group 2025).
Single mothers are at increased risk of poverty, disproportionately impacted by low income and limited support.
Low confidence in money-management is also linked to poor wellbeing and reduced ability to re-enter work.
Women in the UK face an 6.4% employment gap compared to men (Office for National Statistics).
Delivered in 12 weekly two-hour sessions, this programme combines:
Group mentoring and peer support to share experiences, build confidence and reduce isolation.
This project is shaped by women for women, and responds directly to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and cost-of-living crisis, resulting in the urgent need for safe and accessible financial education.
ProspHER Glow is an immersive reflective experience delivered in six in-person sessions to young women aged 10 to 18, during which the participants move around a carefully created game board to explore their purpose and passions.
These sessions encourage girls to communicate between one another and build relationships, understand themselves and their potential, and progress towards their future aspirations, all in a safe space and supportive environment, with facilitation from experienced youth facilitators, expert career/life-coaches, and inspiring mentors.
For maximum results these sessions are best delivered in educational settings, such as schools or colleges, or community spaces, such as village halls or libraries, making them as accessible as possible to girls in the community.
If you’re a young woman who’d like to be part of this programme, or a parent/guardian or school/education provider who’d like to involve more girls you support, then please get in touch.
